Dyno Testing Power Jet Technology
Which is better, SAC or VCO nozzles?
Power Jet 12v injectors are built on a new sac-style blank.
For the best explanation and demonstration of traditional OEM SAC and VCO nozzle types, check out the video below!
What is the spray angle, and which one is right for me?
Power Jet injectors can’t really be classified as 145 degrees or 155 degrees since they are multi-patterned, but the largest orifices are based closely on a traditional 5-hole 145-degree pattern.
What is Power Jet Technology?
Power Jetting is a new nozzle technology that combines multiple orifice sizes, multiple orifice angles, and proprietary multi-stage balance honing for K-factor optimization. Power Jet technology produces incredibly clean burning and efficient fuel injector nozzles. The combination of micro orifices and larger traditional orifices reduces ignition delay, resulting in more complete combustion while still maintaining fuel jet density to achieve full fuel distribution in the bowl at higher air density from elevated boost pressure. In-house dyno testing with Power Jet injectors surpassed our expectations by both reducing soot/smoke output and increasing power production vs. traditional/OEM nozzle technology. In simulated towing testing/heavily loaded constant power dyno pulls, Power Jet injectors delivered phenomenal triple-digit EGT reductions. Long gone are days when injector builders were forced to modify OEM nozzles—the future is here, and Power Jet technology is here to stay!
