Power Driven Billet Belleville Spring for Dodge Automatic Transmissions with late style spring 1996 thru 2007 – 47re, & 48re.
With the current crop of monster HP-rated transmissions, main line pressure settings have increased substantially in “built” 47re and 48re transmissions. Once line pressure surpasses 200 psi, the factory 069″ thick belleville spring begins to permanently flatten, fold-over, or completely fail causing the loss of all forward gears. These billet belleville springs are 30% thicker measuring 090″ thick and come with a steel cushion spacer in lieu of the factory plastic cushion spacer. These new billet belleville springs are rated for 250 psi line pressure and will not flip, fold, or flatten when subjected to high line pressure.
**Note** Due to the thicker spring, a slightly thinner reaction plate snap ring is occasionally required to maintain the factory forward clutch clearance, we find that a .062″ snap ring provides the space needed.
