EFI (FS2-FS1-GM) Upgrade FlashScan V1 to V2 with GM Tuning Option

The FlashScan V2 upgrade interface will be shipped in “Upgrade Mode”, requiring a PC with 2 USB ports and the original FlashScan V1, which must be available to activate the FlashScan V2 interface.

A V1 to V2 license transfer scheme allows the user to copy licenses from FlashScan V1 to FlashScan V2 without having to return interface to EFILive or an EFILive Dealer.

Additional PCM licenses cannot be purchased for FlashScan V1 once it has been used to upgrade to FlashScan V2. FlashScan V1 will continue to operate as a fully functional Scan Tool. FlashScan V1 retains full tuning functionality for controllers originally licensed to it.

Upgrading Customers will receive:

• FlashScan V1 Scan Tool receives the equivalent FlashScan V2 Scan Tool.
• FlashScan V1 Personal receives FlashScan V2 with GM Tuning Option, plus 2 additional VIN licenses and 97/98 LS1 Stream.
• FlashScan V1 Commercial receives FlashScan V2 with GM Tuning Option, plus 2 additional VIN licenses and 97/98 LS1 Stream.
• FlashScan V1 Workshop receives FlashScan V2 with GM Tuning Option, plus the following streams:

FlashScan V1 Workshop customers upgrading to FlashScan V2 will initialize their FlashScan V2 interface to allow limited license tuning while returning their FlashScan V1 interface to EFILive. Once FlashScan V1 is received by EFILive, stream activation codes will be sent to the Customer. EFILive will reset the FlashScan V1 Workshop to FlashScan V1 Commercial and return it to the Customer.

The returned FlashScan V1 Commercial interface may be used by the customer as a backup Scan Tool and Tuning Tool. PCM licenses may be purchased (as required) on the returned FlashScan V1 Commercial interface.
