Machined stepped 3rd/direct reaction plate to allow for more 3rd gear direct clutches.  Required to fit (6) GPZ clutches in 47rh or 47re drum and up to (7) GPZ clutches in 48re drum.  Note some early 47rh and 47re 3rd/direct drums have a taller aluminum apply piston and will require a new thin 062″ snap ring to ensure adequate clutch clearance is maintained.  A minimum of 012″ per clutch and maximum of 020″ per clutch is recommended for most applications.
