Power Driven Diesel Stage 1 CNC Tow Ported 6.0L Powerstroke Cylinder Heads. These cylinder heads start with a new upgraded high nickel casting with a thicker fire deck that reduces flexing and blown head gaskets. These heads then receive our stage 1 CNC tow porting program to increase swirl and flow for better combustion efficiency and lower EGT. With 170 CFM intake flow and 145 CFM peak exhaust flow, these heads predictably out-perform stock heads with noticeable gains in spool-up, power, and EGT control. We’ve kept the tow port conservative to maintain optimal reliability for towing and maximum swirl to reduce smoke, idle haze, and turbo lag. These heads come standard with upgraded 100 pound valve springs to eliminate valve float at elevated boost and exhaust drive pressure when hauling heavy or running aftermarket tunes and upgraded turbos. After porting we then utilize modern Rottler equipment to finish machine each head to meet and/or exceed factory specifications. All heads come standard with 32 hardened valve seats that are finished with a multi-angle valve job for optimal flow and reliable valve seal. New heads are then, surfaced, o-ringed, cleaned, assembled, pressure tested, and carefully packaged to ensure they arrive ready for installation. Stage 1 Tow Ported heads are great for daily drivers and especially suited for towing applications and tuned-up street trucks.
