They feature 10-degree locks and a structurally efficient design. One of the key advantages of these retainers is their ability to handle high speeds. With a capability of up to 4,200 rpm, they provide reliable and durable performance. They are remarkably lightweight, weighing just 30 grams. In fact, they are 25% lighter than the stock retainers commonly found in similar setups.

Installing these hardened chromoly spring retainers on a typical 12v head increases seat pressure slightly. Compared to the factory lock-and-retainer configuration, which results in approximately 155 lbs of seat pressure, these retainers offer approximately 165 lbs of seat pressure. This enhanced pressure contributes to improved valve control and overall engine efficiency.
