The Fluidampr Performance Diesel Series Damper 960311 will smooth out the harsh engine harmonics while extending the life of the engine in your 1989-1998 Dodge 12 Valve 5.9L Cummins or 3.9L Cummins 4BT. This viscous performance damper reduces torsional vibrations that helps take the chatter out of the engine while dyno results show a modest gain of 5.4 HP and 3.1 TQ.
Unlike other aftermarket dampers that need to be tuned for an RPM band and unlike your stock rubber-based damper, this Fluidampr reduces torsional vibrations across the entire RPM without the need of being rebuilt or retuned. This damper is computer balance and precision machined and includes a sensor relocation kit for 12 valve engines using an alternator/tachometer pick up.

Worth the money. Installed on my 92 cummins truck. I did have to shim out my fan to clear the damper, but that was the only hitch. Idle is noticeably smoother and quieter. There is almost no vibration when accelerating now, even pushing hard at higher rpms. Noise reduction at highway speed is very impressive. The cummins noise used to make a 2 hr highway run feel like a chore. Now my loudest noise is the wind. Also quieted the 5 speed getrag down, you can really feel the vibration reduction in the shifter. Highly reccomend!
