PDD Stainless Exhaust Elbow for HX35 Turbo – Bundle

The Power Driven stainless exhaust elbow for HX35/K27 turbo was developed to replace the poor-fitting and corrosion-prone cast iron HX35 exhaust elbow.  The factory mass-produced exhaust outlet elbow has a loose tolerance that creates an internal misalignment step at the turbo outlet flange. The stock HX35 turbo outlet ID measures 2.6” but the mating flange ID of the factory cast elbow measures just under 2.4” leaving a 1/4 inch misalignment step that creates turbulence and exhaust restriction. Even worse, this misalignment step occurs at the tightest cross section point in the factory 3” exhaust system.

The PDD Stainless HX35 elbow was produced with a tapered 2.68” inside diameter to perfectly match the factory HX35 turbo outlet and maintains a 6% larger inside diameter throughout the elbow.  The result is a corrosion resistant stainless exhaust elbow that improves exhaust flow and looks great!

Direct fit for 1994 through 1998 12v & 24v Cummins with factory HX35 turbo.  1999 and newer 24v models have an integrated HX35 backplate with cast elbow as one-piece.  To use this elbow, newer trucks need to utilize a standard HX35 flanged (3.100” v-band) outlet back plate, or upgrade to a K27 or Aggressor HX35 based turbo that come standard with an HX35 v-band outlet.  The PDD Stainless HX35 Exhaust Elbow features a standard 3” O.D. bell outlet with M10x1.5 threaded ears that will accept all factory downpipes (12v and 24v) and most aftermarket 4” downpipes (example MBRP) that utilize the factory 3” flare/bell outlet.
