It is no secret that the factory 68RFE transmission is plagued with issues, many of which stem from the valve body itself. With worn out valves, warped plates, leaking passages, and blown out accumulator plates, it can wreak havoc on the internals of your transmission and inevitably cause the need for a complete rebuild.
The Power Driven Diesel 68RFE High Pressure Valve Body is a great solution to these problems. With the custom transfer plate, our valve body allows the transmission to make up to 250psi line pressure** where the factory was only capable of 160psi, which allows a 40% increase in clutch holding capability, and the billet channel plate prevents warping at these higher pressures which causes cross leaks and valve bore wear.
We’ve also upgraded the failure-prone factory plastic accumulator pistons with billet aluminum pistons to enhance reliability and ensure positive seals in the accumulator assembly. Each and every 68RFE Valve Body gets inspected and tested for bore wear, and carefully remanufactured and upgraded to correct worn passages and ensure quality upper bore castings are used for final assembly.

**Valve Body is capable of running 250psi, but will require transmission tuning or a line pressure box to achieve. We recommend your tuning to command 200psi maximum for factory-spec transmissions, and 225psi for a well-built upgraded transmission. 250psi line pressure is only recommended for extreme applications.
