Power Driven Diesel offers this black “square” governor pressure sensor/transducer for 2000 through 2007 Dodge 47RE and 48RE transmissions.
This will not fit 1996 through 1999 47RE transmissions that require the “round” gold-colored pressure sensor. If you are running elevated line pressure, the HP version of this solenoid is a better option. Common symptoms/transmission problems associated with a bad governor pressure sensor include: poor downshift timing, hanging in third or second gear on downshifts, delayed upshifts, hanging in first or second gear on upshifts, third-gear limp mode. This sensor provides temperature and governor pressure information to the computer; with bad information, the computer cannot properly control shifts and eventually a “stuck in third-gear” limp mode will occur.
