Just watched your videos on YouTube and all I can say is AWESOME job guys!!!

    • Todd Welch says:

      Thanks Davin!

The feedback we have been getting from the beta testers is great. It works just like it shows in the videos. Look for the stage 2 coming by the end of this week. It has some cool features you might like.

Hey Todd I have a stock auto tranny, do you think getting the AFC LIVE will tear it apart?

        • Todd Welch says:

With AFC LIVE in the full power setting could overpower a stock transmission. The great thing about AFC LIVE is you can tune it back and not beat on it all the time. IF you installed one of our valve bodies in your trans then you could use all the power you have on tap. A custom valve body runs about $450.

Wow. This thing looks awesome. I can’t wait to get one and try it out. This has great potential.

Have seen all your vids on youtube and i must say i am shocked by how low the price is compared to the competitors!!! I’ve been waiting for awhile now for them to be released, I am going to wait and see what the Live Race has to offer then i will be buying which ever fits me best! Very excited to have one and try it out! Wish the best of luck to you guys and hope you have a good future of sales in these!!!

    • Todd Welch says:

Thank you! We really worked hard on keeping the price to where a lot of people would be able to justify getting one of these. If you follow the forums you know that my partner Will Terry is the king of bang for the buck in the diesel world. We will be releasing a few new products in the near future that will be a lot better value than what is available in the market place now.

The race kit is really cool. It is does more than most would need. If you race and want to do multiple classes it is awesome. It performs the same functions as the stage 2, but it also has a boost controller that works well on external waste gates. Also the ability to change your settings in the pits is nice for those who race.

    • Todd Welch says:

I am hoping to have the first one built the first of next week. I will run it on Frankenstein to make sure it works right, so if all goes well they should be available by the end of next week.

  4. Matt Reynolds says:

Looks awesome!! If I am not mistaken, this is essentially the same thing and even more than the “APP Attitude Adjuster In-Cab Dynamic Load Stop” that I have seen advertised for around $700. Should work great on highly modified p-pump trucks that are street driven!!

    • Todd Welch says:

You are correct, similar and more! They perform a similar function but in very different ways. The attitude adjuster has a fuel plate that is movable via a cable mounted in the cab. The afc foot still controls the fueling until there is enough air pressure from the turbo system to move the foot beyond the fuel plate, at which time the fuel plate then controls fueling. AFC LIVE gets rid of the fuel plate entirely and makes the afc arm act as an infinitely adjustable fuel plate/throttle stop. In addition to max fueling control which both kits do AFC LIVE is also able to adjust the fueling rate in cab without having to adjust the starwheel or AFC position. 95% of your driving time is off the fuel plate and controlled by the AFC foot, ours is the only kit that can adjust those settings in the cab, and as you mentioned at a much more reasonable price!

      • albert says:

Could you explain what the difference is between afc live and the attitude adjuster in layman’s terms ..for someone who isn’t a mechanical genius but is looking to get more out of their truck and how hard is it to install and would you recommend buy anything else along with the afc live for a stock truck in

        • Lonnon Jensen says:

The main difference between AFC LIVE and the attitude adjuster is the huge difference in price! Also the AFC LIVE does a lot more. The attitude adjuster is just a movable fuel plate. You are only on the fuel plate at high throttle positions, the rest of the time your fueling is controlled by the afc spring which is does not control at all. AFC LIVE controls max fueling just like the attitude adjuster but is also adjusts the rate at which the fuel increase advances. Example You can move your fuel plate so your full boost driving is very clean. When you are tuned like that often you will have a big puff of smoke and it will smoke until the boost rises and burns all the fuel. What has happened is that the fuel increase was quicker than the boost increase. With a fuel plate of attitude adjuster the only way to fix that is to open the hood tighten the starwheel. Then when you want quick power you would pop the hood and loosen the starwheel. With AFC LIVE you can adjust the rate of fuel advancement in the cab. So you can clean the smoke on the low end or open it up and let it eat. All while driving down the road.

So attitude adjuster can adjust max fueling in the cab. AFC LIVE can adjust max fueling and the fuel advancement rate. With the stage 2 you can tune it all nice to drive on the street and then with the flip of a switch you can max out your pump. If you add our MAX Travel and spring kit it will give you even more fuel and a greater range of tenability. It can be found here.

          https://powerdriven.wpengine.com/product/afc-max-travel-kit/

AFC LIVE alone will give you a big power increase if you are stone stock. with the addition of some injectors and DV’s you will have more fuel than a stock turbo can burn, but you could control it with AFC LIVE. IF you are thinking about some of those call in and we can consult you on your best options for your goals.

          • albert says:

Thanks that was really helpful and I will probably call in I bought the stag 2 and the spring kit can’t wait for it to get here

          • branden says:

Awesome so if I install one on my stock truck I will see a incress with out DVS and injectors?

  5. Jon keller says:

i heard you say in the video that this will also work on 1st gens with a VE pump, wondering how it works , and if its as tunable/effiective as a p-pump truck

    • Todd Welch says:

Yes it does work in a ve pump. The unfortunate part is it makes a very small difference. We initially thought it would be greater than it actually turned out to be, the difference is small. To small in our opinion to be worth the cost. On the truck we tested we could only change maybe 30 HP worth of tuning. On our p-pump truck we test on we probably have over 400 hp difference from minimum to max so the ability to change it is well worth it.

  6. Barett says:

Just purchase AFC Live 1, very excited to try it out! Perfect timing also since I just put in a new Valair dual disc!

  7. Matt Reynolds says:

How does the AFC spring/ star wheel need to be set when running AFC live? I have also heard through the forums that there is a stiffer AFC spring that is sent with the controller from you all?

    Thanks!!

  8. Rick Freed says:

I sent an e-mail but thought I would post it here also. I plan to order one but what controls the air pressure, I know you will say turbo, but that means you have to adjust under boost to see effects of each adjustment.
    Thanks

    • Todd Welch says:

Correct, it only works under boost pressure. It is very easy to make adjustments while driving because it is mounted in the cab. It really is very easy to do, once you get one hop on the freeway and play around. You will quickly figure out by trial and error what works for your setup.

    • Todd Welch says:

They are included with every kit and will be available for viewing on our website hopefully first of next week.

  9. Nick says:

I have a 1995 ford f250 that I’m gonna be cummins swapping very soon, and I was wondering if the AFC live stage 1 would still work with my truck with all the wiring and mounting?

    • Todd Welch says:

As long as the engine you are swapping in is a p-pump engine it will work great! The install is very simple, if you are able to run a boost gauge into your cab you will be able to install AFC LIVE.

  10. Cooper Lehnert says:

So if afc live is ran off of boost from the side of the intake. That is where my boost line is ran to for my gauge so does it come with a splitter?

    • Todd Welch says:

There are 2 ports on the cylinder head. You may leave in your boost line and just use the other port. One port is under the air intake horn and the other is 5 inches forward of the port under the horn. Both are 1/8 FNPT ports and our supplied fitting will work in either one.

    • Kevin says:

      Nice product, well executed.

Watching your videos it is apparent your steering is as loose as mine was. A new aftermarket steering box helps enormously if everything else is tight.

  11. william says:

I have a 95 5sp with stock clutch. Do I need to put a built clutch on before I put AFC live on?

    • Todd Welch says:

With AFC LIVE tuned for max power you will be able to overpower a stock clutch. IT most likely won’t happen until a good roll on in 5th gear or at full power while towing. The great thing is that you can so easily turn down the power that it will be a non issue.

  12. John Pannebaker says:

Hi all, looks like just what I need. What are the differences between the stage one and the stage two’s ? I’m trying to build a ’95 Cummins dually tow machine. Thanks john
